Vigneto Col San Martino
OVEST Extra Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG

East and West: the new Sorelle Bronca labels debut. The tasting.
The first is Brut, the second is Extra Dry, following the characteristics of the territory where they are born. The new image aims to underline how the two references are part of a journey that began with the debut of Particella 68 and the Particelle line, the first example, in fact, of microzonation within the DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore
The two wines from the Colbertaldo (Treviso) company continue the path begun with the Particelle line, emphasizing the characteristics of the different terroirs. Two different identities, two wines that together represent the cardinal points of the company, to emphasize the characteristics of the different areas of the denomination through microzonation projects. This is how the new labels of EST Brut and OVEST Extra Dry were born, the two historic Prosecco Superiore Docg: the first originates from the vineyards located in the Conegliano area, while the second comes to life from the grapes grown on the Valdobbiadene side. Two different expressions of the denomination, a mosaic of different soils and microclimates.
“We have always tried to accommodate the nuances that characterize the grapes coming from our vineyards – explain Antonella and Ersiliana Bronca, owners of the Colbertaldo company (Vidor, Treviso) which bears their surname –. The microclimatic and geological variability between the east and west of our territory leads to completely different maturation and characteristics of the wines between the various terroirs. From this diversity the new EST and OVEST labels are born: Brut the first, Extra Dry the second, following the characteristics of the territory where they are born. The new image aims to underline how the two references are part of a journey that began with the debut of Particella 68 and the Particelle line: an ambitious project which represents, in fact, the first example of microzonation within the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco Superiore”.
EST, as mentioned, comes from the vineyards located on the Conegliano side, where a soil rich in iron gives the wine fresh and floral notes. On the nose the bouquet is reminiscent of wisteria, acacia and green apple. Fresh, elegant and very pleasantly harmonious, it is characterized by a balanced acidity and good flavour. The grapes used for OVEST, however, come from vineyards located in the Valdobbiadene area, where the soil is mainly composed of marl and clay. OVEST has a lively and complex olfactory composition, characterized by floral and fruity scents. The balance between acidity and sugar content gives the wine harmony and depth, enhancing its aromatic complexity.
EST and OVEST will be on sale in the company e-shop and in the best wine shops starting from October, at the price of 14 euros.
Sorelle Bronca: the story
It all began in the 1930s, when grandfather Martino produced wine for his family and little else. It will be his son, Livio, father of Antonella and Ersiliana, who will take up the baton and cultivate the vineyards located in the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene area with dedication. In 1986 Livio gave the first plots to his daughters, who in 1989 founded the company that proudly bears their surname in Colbertaldo di Vidor. Among the first women wine producers in the area, Antonella and Ersiliana, in addition to the vineyards, also inherited courage and determination from their father and grandfather. Over time, the two sisters will also be supported in the management of the company by Piero and Elisa, Antonella's husband and Ersiliana's daughter respectively. In 2000 the new cellar was inaugurated, the following year the collaboration with the oenologist Federico Giotto began. Two years later, in 2003, Particella 68 debuted, the first wine from the Particelle line: an ambitious project that represents, in fact, the first example of microzonation within the DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore. The first recognitions from the Gambero Rosso and Slowine Italian Wine Guide are also starting to arrive. Ten years later the new Farrò vineyard in Follina will be acquired, allowing the Particelle project to grow: 2016 will in fact be the first vintage of Particella 232, with the Brut Nature label. 2020 is the year of Sorelle Bronca's consecration: Particella 232 Brut Nature 2019 is proclaimed Sparkling Wine of the Year by Gambero Rosso and the third label of the project is born, Particella 181, the fruit of the oldest vines from the Rua di Feletto vineyard. A story , that of Sorelle Bronca, which still has a lot to tell with the birth of the two wines EST and OVEST, two Prosecco Superiore DOCG with a precise identity: the first originates from the vineyards located in the Conegliano area, while the second comes to life from grapes grown on the Valdobbiadene side. Two different expressions of the denomination which, together, represent a unique territory, a mosaic of different soils and microclimates. The winery is certified according to the National Integrated Production Quality System protocol (SQNPI Mark) across the entire production chain. The grapes come only from owned vineyards. The company owns 25 hectares of vineyards and produces 350,000 bottles. In addition to Prosecco, there are also white and red wines from the Colli di Conegliano and the cultivation of olive trees.
I Vigneti e il terriorio
Sorelle Bronca is located in Colbertaldo, a hamlet of Vidor (Treviso), in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG denomination. The owned vineyards are:
Colbertaldo vineyard
The grapes for the best selections come from these vineyards located on the left bank of the Piave, protected by the Alps and well exposed to the sun. Particle 68 is also found in this particularly suitable area.
Col San Martino vineyard
The soil is particularly suitable for viticulture and is located in an area with an altitude of up to 300 meters. The slopes are very steep, with an inclination between 70-80%, mainly with southern exposure. The wines that come from this vineyard are characterized by their intense aroma and by expressing predominantly tropical and fruity notes.
Farrò vineyard
It is a vineyard located in a small flat area of the hill, sunny and surrounded by natural woods. The soil gives the wines particular characteristics, aromas and sensations. Particle 232 is also found in this particularly suitable area.
Rua di Feletto vineyard
Thousands of trees have been planted to generate a favorable ecosystem in a natural way, where the forest protects the vineyard and creates an ideal microclimate for growing vines. On the south-eastern side there are merlot, cabernet sauvignon and marzemino vineyards to produce Ser Bele. On the eastern side, Manzoni and Pinot Bianco are crossed to obtain Delico. Finally, to the south west, we find the glera for the Valdobbiadene DOCG.
The wines and tasting
EST and OVEST, two different identities, two labels that together represent the cardinal points of the company, what guides Sorelle Bronca's work. This is how EST Brut and OVEST Extra Dry were born, two Prosecco Superiore with a precise identity: the first originates from the vineyards located in the Conegliano area, while the second comes to life from the grapes grown on the Valdobbiadene side.

EST was born in the vineyards located on the Conegliano side, where a soil rich in iron gives the wine fresh and floral notes. On the nose the bouquet is reminiscent of wisteria, acacia and green apple. Fresh, elegant and very pleasantly harmonious, it is characterized by a balanced acidity and good flavour.
OVEST Extra Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG
The grapes used for OVEST come from vineyards located in the Valdobbiadene area where the soil is mainly composed of marl and clay. OVEST has a lively and complex olfactory composition, characterized by floral and fruity scents. The balance between acidity and sugar content gives the wine harmony and depth, enhancing its aromatic complexity.
Particle Line
The production process began in 2001, with Particle 68, which expresses the unique character of the Rive di Colbertaldo. Particle 232 was later added in the Rive di Farrò. Finally, Particle 181 represents the most velvety, tropical and intense expression of the ferrous clays of Rua di Feletto. From 2021 the line presents itself with the Rive denomination, a typology that highlights the different expressions of Conegliano Valdobbiadene obtained from the steepest and most suitable vineyards with grapes coming from a single municipality or fraction of it, to enhance the characteristics that the territory gives to the wine.
