Sabato 2 e domenica 3 settembre più di 30 cantine partecipanti all’evento curato dal Consorzio di Tutela, metteranno in degustazione le loro migliori interpretazioni di Soave. In abbinamento assaggi della tradizione e fresche proposte pokè, con ingredienti del territorio. Ospite della serata inaugurale, sabato 2 settembre alle 18.00, Loris Giuriatti, scrittore, guida ambientale e collaboratore per Rai Storia.
Sabato 2 e domenica 3 settembre, dalle 18.00 alle 23.00, nel Cortile del Palazzo del Capitano di Soave, va in scena Soave Multiverso 2023, l’evento voluto dal Consorzio di Tutela del Soave per raccontare le migliori interpretazioni del Soave non solo ad operatori ed esperti di settore ma anche a semplici appassionati col gusto per la curiosità. Oltre 30 le cantine partecipanti che metteranno in degustazione le loro migliori interpretazioni di Soave all’ombra del castello medievale, in chiave “giovane, bella e smart”. Alla sua seconda edizione, Soave Multiverso, forte del successo riscontrato lo scorso anno, già nel nome si prefigge di proseguire il percorso iniziato nel 2022, vale a dire far crescere un format dedicato al vino ma che al tempo stesso rappresenti un’occasione di confronto culturale attorno ai grandi temi di attualità, chiaramente interconnessi al mondo della produzione vitivinicola. Tema scelto per l’edizione 2023 di Soave Multiverso sarà l’importanza del Paesaggio e della Bellezza in esso contenuta, mutuando molti spunti dal GIAHS – Patrimonio Agricolo di importanza mondiale – il prestigioso riconoscimento istituito dalla FAO di cui si fregiano le Colline Vitate del Soave. Un percorso quello del GIAHS, iniziato oltre 10 anni fa dal Consorzio di tutela e conclusosi lo scorso maggio di quest’anno alla FAO, a Roma, con la cerimonia ufficiale che ha celebrato l’ingresso delle Colline Vitate del Soave, unico comprensorio vitivinicolo in Italia, tra i siti GIAHS. Essere inseriti tra i siti GIAHS significa rientrare tra quelle zone agricole nel mondo che promuovono un’agricoltura sostenibile, lontana dai processi industriali, e che conserva uno stretto legame tra paesaggio, prodotti locali, comunità rurali associate. Con questo percorso si introduce di fatto un radicale cambiamento di visione che pone l’uomo al centro del contesto agricolo, non più come soggetto che turba l’ecosistema esistente con una forma di agricoltura intensiva ma, al contrario, come artefice principale nel mantenimento della biodiversità e della conservazione del paesaggio.
L’ospite
Sulla scia di questi contenuti quindi sabato 2 settembre, alle ore 18.00, in occasione dell’inaugurazione di Soave Multiverso, è previsto un momento culturale per regalare ai presenti l’occasione di andare oltre il mondo del vino e delle sue caratteristiche più tecniche e poter così spaziare tra attualità e cultura. Ospite della seconda edizione di Soave Multiverso sarà Loris Giuratti, scrittore, guida ambientale escursionistica, formatore, divulgatore e collaboratore per Rai Storia. Una figura, la sua, in linea coi valori rappresentati dalle Colline Vitate del Soave e molto vicino a temi quali la tutela dell’ambiente, la conservazione del paesaggio, la fruizione consapevole del territorio.Cultura, intrattenimento e convivialità si confermano i tre elementi caratterizzanti di Soave MultiVerso per un format che si prefigge di andare oltre le mura medievali di Soave e raccontare l’eccellenza di queste terre anche a coloro che il vino lo conoscono poco o nulla. Creare occasioni di dialogo e di confronto grazie ad un evento rinnovato, giovane e fresco, che strizza l’occhio alla cultura senza perdere di vista la leggerezza e il piacere dello stare assieme. «Soave Multiverso è nato quasi come una scommessa – evidenzia Igor Gladich direttore del Consorzio del Soave – ed è stato pensato per dare un segno importante al mondo del vino in generale: siamo infatti a Soave, e naturalmente il vino sarà il principe dell’evento, ma non possiamo dimenticare che siamo anche testimoni e protagonisti di grandi sfide e di grandi cambiamenti che ci coinvolgono tutti in maniera indistinta. Mai come oggi c’è bisogno di Bellezza e di cultura, oltre che di qualità nel calice. La parola Multiverso vuole infatti indicare la complessità ma anche il fascino di tanti universi paralleli che ruotano attorno al mondo del vino e che sono tutti da scoprire. Per questo ci piace pensare che le persone che parteciperanno potranno nutrire la mente oltre che il corpo».
La convivialità
Accanto alle migliori interpretazioni di Soave, proposte dalle oltre 30 cantine partecipanti, sarà possibile degustare il Formaggio Monte Veronese, nelle sue diverse stagionature, e assaggi di prodotti tipici curati dalla Strada del Vino Soave. In aggiunta, novità dell’edizione 2023, saranno messe in degustazione tre originali proposte Poke ideate da Thai-Poke, condite rigorosamente con prodotti del territorio e a chilometro zero. Un appuntamento da non perdere, accompagnati nella due giorni da dj set.
La masterclass
Soave Multiverso 2023 prevede anche un importante momento di approfondimento tecnico, focalizzato sul vino Soave, sulle Unità Geografiche Aggiuntive e sulla capacità dell’uva garganega di evolvere e di migliorare col trascorrere del tempo. Domenica mattina 3 settembre, Palazzo del Capitano, Sala delle feste, è infatti prevista una masterclass su invito, dal titolo “Soave, tra stile e longevità”, curata e guidata da Simon Staffler, della prestigiosa rivista Falstaff.
E-bike
In occasione di Soave Multiverso, il 2 e 3 settembre, l’associazione WineBikeLoop proporrà dei percorsi alla scoperta delle colline del Soave, da fare con le e-bike fornite da “Che Bici”, un modo per fruire della bellezza del paesaggio, fin su sulla cima della collina, con la sicurezza di non consumare né suolo né risorse. Ecco l’idea di fondo che ha sposato il Consorzio del Soave per vivere questo comprensorio produttivo in maniera smart e consapevole.
Orienteering
Proprio perché quello del Soave è un parco enologico bello e da vivere in maniera smart, a Soave Multiverso si rilancerà il Campionato Europeo di Orienteering, per la prima volta in Italia, che il 6 ottobre farà tappa nell’antico borgo medievale ad est di Verona, dove all’ombra del castello andrà in scena la Sprint Relay, che decreterà i mixed team più forti composti da uomini e donne. L’orienteering, o corsa orientamento, sono delle gare a libero percorso, a cronometro individuale, durante le quali gli atleti devono individuare su una carta topografica, fornita al momento del via, l’itinerario più veloce per raggiungere una serie di punti di controllo posti all’interno di un territorio, senza smarrirsi. L’orienteering si caratterizza per un’incredibile interdisciplinarietà, coinvolgendo i praticanti nell’elaborazione di una strategia attraverso conoscenze nell’ambito delle scienze naturali, della cartografia, della tecnologia e della geologia, insieme ovviamente all’attività sportiva. Soave Multiverso: the Vineyard Hills of Soave tell their stories between culture, conviviality and sport
On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September, more than 30 wineries participating in the event organized by the Consortium for the Protection, will offer their best interpretations of Soave for tasting. In combination with traditional tastings and fresh pokè proposals, with local ingredients. Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September, from 18.00 to 23.00, in the courtyard of the Palazzo del Capitano di Soave, Soave Multiverse 2023 will be staged, the event wanted by the Consortium for the Protection of Soave to tell the best interpretations of Soave not only to operators and sector experts but also to simple enthusiasts with a taste for curiosity. Over 30 participating wineries will offer their best interpretations of Soave for tasting in the shadow of the medieval castle, in a “young, beautiful and smart” key. In its second edition, Soave Multiverso, building on the success achieved last year, already in the name aims to continue the path begun in 2022, that is to say to grow a format dedicated to wine but which at the same time represents an opportunity for discussion culture around major current issues, clearly interconnected with the world of wine production. The theme chosen for the 2023 edition of Soave Multiverse will be the importance of the landscape and the beauty it contains, borrowing many ideas from GIAHS – Agricultural Heritage of Global Importance – the prestigious recognition established by FAO which the Soave Vineyard Hills boast . A journey that of GIAHS, begun over 10 years ago by the Consortium for protection and concluded last May this year at the FAO, in Rome, with the official ceremony which celebrated the entry of the Soave Hills, the only wine district in Italy, among the GIAHS sites. Being included among the GIAHS sites means being included among those agricultural areas in the world that promote sustainable agriculture, far from industrial processes, and which maintains a close link between the landscape, local products, associated rural communities. This path effectively introduces a radical change of vision which places man at the center of the agricultural context, no longer as a subject who disturbs the existing ecosystem with a form of intensive agriculture but, on the contrary, as the main architect in maintaining biodiversity and landscape conservation.
The guest
In the wake of these contents, therefore, on Saturday 2 September, at 18.00, on the occasion of the inauguration of Soave Multiverse, a cultural moment is planned to give those present the opportunity to go beyond the world of wine and its more technical characteristics and be able thus ranging between current events and culture. Guest of the second edition of Soave Multiverso will be Loris Giuratti, writer, environmental hiking guide, trainer, popularizer and collaborator for Rai Storia. A figure, his, in line with the values represented by the hills of Soave and very close to issues such as environmental protection, landscape conservation, conscious use of the territory. Culture, entertainment and conviviality are confirmed as the three characterizing elements of Soave MultiVerso for a format that aims to go beyond the medieval walls of Soave and tell the excellence of these lands even to those who know little or nothing about wine. Creating opportunities for dialogue and discussion thanks to a renewed, young and fresh event that winks at culture without losing sight of the lightness and pleasure of being together. «Soave Multiverse was born almost as a bet – highlights Igor Gladich director of the Soave Consortium – and was designed to give an important sign to the world of wine in general: we are in fact in Soave, and of course the wine will be the prince of the event , but we cannot forget that we are also witnesses and protagonists of great challenges and great changes that involve us all without distinction. In fact, the word Multiverse wants to indicate the complexity but also the charm of many parallel universes that revolve around the world of wine and which are all waiting to be discovered. The conviviality
Alongside the best interpretations of Soave, offered by over 30 participating wineries, it will be possible to taste Monte Veronese cheese, in its various ages, and samples of typical products cared for by the Soave Wine Route. In addition, novelty of the 2023 edition, three original Poke proposals created by Thai-Poke will be offered for tasting, rigorously seasoned with local and zero-kilometer products. An appointment not to be missed, accompanied by a DJ set during the two days.
The master class
Soave Multiverse 2023 also includes an important moment of technical study, focused on Soave wine, on the Additional Geographical Units and on the ability of the Garganega grape to evolve and improve over time. Sunday morning 3 September, Palazzo del Capitano, Sala delle Feste, an invitation-only masterclass is scheduled, entitled “Soave, between style and longevity”, curated and led by Simon Staffler, of the prestigious Falstaff magazine.
E-bikes
On the occasion of Soave Multiverse, on 2 and 3 September, the WineBikeLoop association will propose routes to discover the Soave hills, to be done with the e-bikes provided by “Che Bici”, a way to enjoy the beauty of the landscape, right up to up on the top of the hill, with the certainty of consuming neither soil nor resources. Here is the basic idea that the Soave Consortium has embraced to experience this productive area in a smart and conscious way.
Orienteering
Precisely because Soave is a beautiful wine park to be experienced in a smart way, the European Orienteering Championship will be relaunched in Soave Multiverse, for the first time in Italy, which on 6 October will stop in the ancient medieval village east of Verona , where the Sprint Relay will take place in the shadow of the castle, which will decree the strongest mixed teams made up of men and women. Orienteering, or orienteering races, are free-course, individual time trial races, during which athletes must identify the fastest route on a topographic map, provided at the start, to reach a series of checkpoints placed within a territory, without getting lost. Orienteering is characterized by an incredible interdisciplinarity, involving practitioners in the elaboration of a strategy through knowledge in the field of natural sciences, cartography, technology and geology, obviously together with sporting activity.
